Boardgamer's Netflix?

by Susan Rozmiarek

I found the following in an ad this morning on BoardgameGeek:

http://www.games2yourdoor.com/

I like the idea of being able to rent games Netflix-style, but it seems too pricey. I imagine the shipping costs are the reason. It would be a nice way to try out new games, though.

Now, what I'd really like to see is my local library carrying a selection of games for checkout.

That seems entirely too expensive for what you get. I am sure that it is the shipping that would keep it prohibitive.

it looks like they ship the games without the box, which is a clever idea. You also can have 2 sets of games out at a time. I do think it's expensive, but it is a very clever idea.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the mention. I'd like to get an idea from you guys about what price range you think WOULD attract more attention. I don't know if we could do it based on shipping, but I am willing to listen.

Does it get better when you look at the combinations? For instance, do you consider being able to rent both Settlers of Cataan and Cities and Knights of Cataan for 21.45 for 2 months to be a good deal?

Interested in any feedback you may have.

Thanks,

Dan
